This course examines some of the most primitive sections of the Old Testament and illuminates, in light of Christ’s incarnation, what are often seen as merely archaic and indefensibly violent episodes in the Scriptures.

Ancient Israelite History & Religion

This course covers ancient Mesopotamia during the first millennium BC starting with the fall of the Late Bronze Age and ending with the destruction of Solomon’s temple in 586 BC. 

Mimetic Theory and the Bible

In this course students learn mimetic theory as a necessary springboard towards analyzing the Sacred Scriptures in a new orchard of biblical interpretation.
