Course Description
In this six-week online course, led by Dr. Jordan Almanzar, we will journey through the Gospel of St. John, the Church's deepest and most contemplative portrait of Jesus Christ. Through close reading and discussion, we will explore the signs, symbols, and theological themes that have captivated Christian readers for two millennia, from the wedding at Cana to the Cross, the Resurrection, and the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Whether you are new to Scripture or have studied it for years, this course will give you a deeper understanding of the fourth gospel—its unique portrait of Jesus, its rich symbolism, its theology of faith and discipleship, and its enduring influence on Christian thought and spirituality.
No prior biblical studies experience is required. Join us as we learn not only what John says about Jesus, but why he tells us these things: "that you may believe" (John 20:31).
